What is the hex?
How did the cross kill religion?
Why doesn’t the Apostle Paul ever mention “discipleship” or “disciple?”
What is the dead cat bounce?
What don’t the New Testament writers command us to “follow Christ?”
Who/what is Christian Bigfoot?
Why did the New Testament writers only quote Jesus once from the Gospels?
What is a “shame junkie?”

The Day That Killed Relgion
It was a day like no other. It was the day the REVOLUTION began!
The sky went dark. An earthquake shook the ground. Dead folks came out of their tombs and strolled around town. The massive temple veil was ripped in half from top to bottom.
It sounds like a sci-fi movie but it was real. It happened on the day Jesus was crucified. That was the day everything changed forever.
A rattled Roman soldier observed the strange occurrences surrounding the crucifixion and proclaimed, “This truly was the Son of God.”
That was the day religion died.
Until then personal effort to please God was the norm. Religious ceremonies were required. Sin loomed overhead. God seemed distant.
After the crucifixion Jesus resurrected from the dead. Then the message of God’s love and generosity spread like wildfire.
Religion was over. The rule-system was gone.
BUT…unfortunately…not everyone saw the obituary.
(Shout “R.I.P..” to religion!)
Something BIG is happening. This is a new day. Jesus not only paid the full price for your sin,
He did something else. Something amazing.
HE NAILED THE OLD WAY OF RELIGIOUS DEMANDS TO THE CROSS.
The Roman soldiers thought they were only nailing Jesus to the cross, but it turns out Jesus was doing His own nailing. He nailed religion to the cross.
Not only did He die for your sins…He killed the system that condemned you.
He killed the old system of rules and regulations that obligated you.
You are free from religion. There are no more to-do lists to reach God.
Jesus nailed religious DEMANDS to the cross.
(And don’t pry out the nails!)
